Health Equity in Action
Our Health Equity Committee brings together community leaders, health professionals, and CSC staff to make sure our programs truly reach and reflect the diverse communities of the tri‑state. We do this through intentional outreach, listening, and partnership – so that no one faces cancer alone.
We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at good health, especially when facing cancer. That means:
- Treating every person with dignity and respect
- Tackling barriers to care – financial, cultural, language, transportation, and more
- Learning from our community and holding systems and decision‑makers accountable for more equitable care
Our committee members include clinicians, business professionals, educators, community partners, and CSC staff who care deeply about equity in cancer care and are willing to roll up their sleeves to make change happen…
Our first Health Equity Summit this August!
This committee is also leads the planning for our first annual Health Equity Summit: Advancing Dialogue and Action in Cancer Care, where we’ll bring together health care professionals, community organizations, and industry partners to:
- Share local data and stories about cancer disparities in the OH‑KY‑IN region
- Highlight practical tools and strategies to make care more equitable
- Spark ongoing collaboration and action among everyone who touches a patient’s cancer journey
The Summit is one more way we’re turning our health‑equity values into real‑world impact for the people we serve. Want to learn more or get involved? Learn more HERE or contact Asha at [email protected] or call 513.791.4060!
