Volunteer at CSC

The volunteers who help at Cancer Support Community come from all walks of community and professional life with one goal – to improve the lives of people living with cancer. While all of CSC’s support groups, classes and programs are led by licensed social workers or other trained professionals, a large group of dedicated volunteers work behind the scenes to help with administrative tasks, facilities maintenance projects, community outreach, and fundraising events.

There are many ways to get involved, whether on a one-time, weekly, monthly, or project basis. CSC welcomes help from individuals as well as community or corporate groups. Available Volunteer Positions

*Positions are available for both in person and at home volunteering!

  • Emerging Leaders Board – We are currently accepting applications for our newly forming Emerging Leaders Board, a group of (young) professionals serve as volunteers spread the word about and raise funds to support our mission. As such, their time, talent, and financial support are vital resources to the organization.  Nominate yourself or refer a colleague to be a part of this exciting initiative. LEARN MORE HERE!
  • Front Desk – Blue Ash-located at 4918 Cooper Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45242. Greeting visitors and community members, answering the phone/directing calls and helping with administrative/clerical tasks. Hours are flexible but fall into the following times: Monday-Thursday: morning, afternoon, evening, Friday-Saturday: morning, afternoon.
  • Talents/Hobbies – We are looking for Volunteers who would like to share their talent. Do you have a craft or a hobby or talent that you would like to share with our participants?
  • Ground Keeping/Building Maintenance – Tasks range from gardening, trimming, painting, cleaning, and light repair work.  Volunteers are welcomed on a one-time basis (perfect for corporate or community groups) or an hour or two on a recurring basis.
  • Ambassador – Deliver Cancer Support Community materials when needed.
  • Weekday/Saturday Programs – Assist with set-up, program, clean up and other task as needed for programs/workshops.
  • Health Fairs – represent CSC at community health fairs by staffing a table with information about us. You would need to pick up health fair items at CSC anytime before the health fair to take and then return to CSC a few days after. This would entail set-up and clean up at the health fair as well.
