Support Groups

Research has shown that participation in ongoing professionally facilitated support groups provides many benefits, including decreased emotional distress, less pain, quicker return to work, and better quality of life. CSC offers separate weekly groups for people living with cancer, as well as for family and friends who are supporting a loved one with cancer.

Please note that there are groups currently being offered virtually and in person. You must schedule an interview before attending a support group. This can be done at Connect to Community Meeting or by appointment. REGISTER HERE or call 513-791-4060 to schedule.

People with any type or stage of cancer (receiving cancer treatment, up to 18 months into remission, or with advanced cancer) meet weekly for 2 hours, allowing members to form strong interpersonal connections, and share information, wisdom, encouragement, and support.

Women who are in treatment for breast cancer, stages 0 through 3, meet weekly for 2 hours, allowing them to form strong interpersonal connections, and share information, wisdom, encouragement and support.

Family members or friends who are actively supporting a loved one with cancer (receiving cancer treatment, up to 18 months into remission, or with advanced cancer) meet weekly for two hours, allowing members to learn how to care for themselves as they care for others by sharing wisdom, encouragement and support. There are both virtual and hybrid options for this group type.
