Art of Living Meditation
The rest in meditation is deeper than the deepest sleep that you can ever have. When the mind becomes free from agitation, is calm and serene and at peace, meditation happens. Join us to experience peace.
Calming Yoga for You
Join certified Yoga instructor Diana Guy and explore the benefits of traditional yoga practice! Energizing, calming, simple movements, spacious breathing and a soothing deep relaxation!
Chair Yoga
Has an injury or limitations set you back? Chair yoga is your opportunity to let wellness take over. Chair Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga available. Participants will perform postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. You can experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and stress reduction. This is a class designed for all levels and ages.
Healthy Steps: Lebed Method
A fun movement program to help cancer survivors reduce or prevent lymphedema and increase their range of motion–all while lifting their spirits!
Line Dancing
This class will involve lower impact, synchronized movements done in unison to choreographed steps. In this class we will promote all areas of health as we get our bodies moving; therefore, increasing your brain fitness, maintaining coordination, and improving memory as you learn a sequence of steps. Line dance styles that may be offered are: “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars, “Happy” by Will Pharrell, “Dancing in the Moonlight” by King Harvest, “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees, “Singin’ in the Rain” by Gene Kelly, “At The Hop” by Danny & The Juniors, “Fly Me To The Moon” Frank Sinatra, “Papa Loves Mambo” by Perry Como. We can also do typical line dances like the Wobble, the Locomotion, The Hustle, Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle, and Cha Cha Slide upon request.
Meditation with Meena
Join us for a meditation class designed for all meditation levels. Whether you are trying meditation for the first time or wish to try something different, this is the class for you. We will focus on various types of meditation such as Mindfulness, Guided, and breathwork to leave you with a sense of calm and connection. Healthy lifestyle classes can help people affected by cancer to keep their strength up, reduce stress, and promote optimum health and survivorship.
Reiki Share & Mini Sessions
Reiki Share and Mini Sessions are offered to all cancer survivors and their loved ones. Come experience this natural healing energy to help support your mind, body, and soul. You will leave feeling reduced stress and anxiety while experiencing an inner peace. All are welcome, including those who would like to share their Reiki skills with others. A dedicated group of Reiki practitioners lead a guided meditation followed by mini session. Reiki is done fully clothed, and can be done sitting, as well as laying on a table. The group energy is amazing!
Restorative Movement
Restorative Movement integrates gentle yoga, breathwork, and meditation to support patients and caregivers. This class focuses on calming the nervous system, enhancing circulation, and managing stress through mindful techniques.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is a relaxing and stress reducing practice that uses props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters to provide a safe and effective way to relax and reduce stress. Class is practiced at a slow, gentle pace, with a focus on the breath. It is appropriate for all levels.
Strength Training
Join Performance Trainer John Conner to learn exercises utilizing exercise bands to help you build and maintain muscle mass, reduce fatigue and improve your balance and flexibility.
Yoga for Wellbeing
Join certified yoga instructor, Michelle Ward, to bring your mind, body, and spirit to balance through breathing, movements, stretching, and relaxation. Focus on body awareness and develop mobility, strength, and flexibility according to body needs. This class is suitable for all levels.
Tai Chi
Ancient Chinese movements and meditation to calm the mind, improve balance, and the immune system.
Tai Chi Flow
Follow along and learn the slow healing movements of Tai Chi for Health from Certified Tai Chi for Health Instructor Kristin Dietsche. Tai Chi is a mind/body exercise from China that has received a great deal of attention recently for its amazing medical benefits. Feel better and more relaxed after just one class and see your balance, strength, and stamina improve from exercising slowly. Movements can be done seated or standing, and they can be modified for all fitness levels and abilities. Wear closed flat shoes like a gym shoe and loose comfortable clothing.
YCAT: Yoga Therapy In Cancer
Therapeutic, safe class for those in treatment and beyond. Learn how to relieve side effects like fatigue, neuropathy, lymphedema, and more. Standing and floor postures and movements will be adapted and modified to meet the students’ needs and will include the use of a chair as a “prop” and seated poses as needed. Ends with a deep relaxation practice that encourages healing and improves vitality. Class is practiced at a slow, gentle pace, with a focus on the breath. It is appropriate for all levels.
